The client desired an architecture that alluded to and was evocative of the Arts & Crafts building tradition.
“It was interesting to hear the various comments of residents and guests during the open house. In particular, one common thread was ‘they’ve thought of everything!’ Thank you for assisting us in capturing the vision of Shannon Oaks during the planning and follow through stages.”
The facility provides 101 seniors’ supportive housing units and two live-in resident manager suites. The extensive common amenities include fireside lounges, an elegant dining room, private dining room for family gatherings, a library, a hair salon, crafts hobby room, a grandchildren’s play room, fitness wellness centre, a large multipurpose room, a games room, and a spa tub rooms located on each floor.
The one and two-bedroom apartments provided, range in size from 440 to 750 square feet. Each unit features an open floor plan, a nine-foot ceiling, built-in window seats, accessible walk-in shower with built-in seat and grab bars, kitchenette cabinets, solid wood trims, and a display cabinet with parcel shelf at each suite entry.
