A modern ‘frieze’ under the north facing roof soffits features artwork by a local indigenous artist Rain Pierre.
Phase 2 buildings B & C has 104 units consisting of studios, 1-bedrooms, 2-bedrooms and 3-bedroom units. Both buildings include indoor amenity spaces; a youth and young adult room with kitchenette; a large multi-purpose room with kitchen; meeting room and fireplace lounge; and an arts and crafts room for the production and display of indigenous art.
The design of Phase 2 takes some queues from Phase 1. It references the overall massing with some sloped roof forms and cantilevered balconies. The inverted ‘U’ shape plan creates two south-facing courtyards separated by a breezeway and parkade entrance. Two concrete outdoor patios with timber trellis are naturally nested within the “U” shape layout providing a common gathering space for the residents.
