A pivotal project in the transformation of New Westminster’s skyline, the high-desity mixed-use project, RiverSky, is based on the goals of community, connectivity and livability. The design for RiverSky is simple, rational and highly efficient; creating links with the existing overpass, boardwalk, and public transit at New Westminster Station.
RiverSky consists of two residential towers on top of a 6-story podium on an irregular site that demanded reconnection with the cityscape. The two residential towers will be 33 and 28-stories tall and include 517 one, two, and three-bedroom condominiums. Commercial space at ground level along the south arm, forms a shopping “mews”. The podium provides a “ships promenade deck” of outdoor green space that combines with a featured amenity complex at the east end.
Construction is in full steam. RiverSky is currently pouring concrete on Level 6, top of podium level, which involves strategic placement of planters and semi-public space to engage the residents.
